Ouma played the entire match and registered an assist, but Lech squandered a first-half lead in a result that denied them the chance to climb to the top of the league table.

Lech went into the fixture knowing that a victory would lift them to the summit before rivals ZagƂębie Lubin played later in the weekend.

However, they fell short as Widzew capitalised on a renewed energy under their new manager to secure a comeback win that temporarily moved them away from the relegation zone.

The opening exchanges were largely contested in midfield, with Widzew enjoying slightly more possession.

Lech gradually grew into the contest, with attacks from Patrik WĂ„lemark Bengtsson and Farid Ali Ismaheel testing goalkeeper Veljko Ilić.

The breakthrough arrived in the 28th minute when Ouma produced a precise through pass to find Gísli Þórðarson.

The Icelandic midfielder controlled the ball before rifling a shot from a tight angle under the crossbar to give Lech the lead.

Widzew responded quickly, and in the 34th minute, Marcel Krajewski surged down the right flank and delivered a well-weighted pass into the penalty area where Fran Álvarez was unmarked.

The Spaniard calmly slotted home to restore parity for the hosts. The home side completed the turnaround early in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, Sebastian Bergier initiated a counterattack after intercepting the ball and attempted a cross that deflected off a Lech defender.

The loose ball fell kindly to Emil Kornvig, who struck a powerful half-volley past goalkeeper Bartosz Mrozek to put Widzew ahead.

From that point, Lech pushed hard for an equaliser. Coach Niels Frederiksen’s side dominated possession and mounted a series of positional attacks that forced Widzew deep into their own half, often with almost the entire team defending behind the ball.

Despite the defeat, Ouma stood out with an impressive midfield display.

The former Nairobi City Stars player created the opening goal and completed 57 of his 65 passes for an accuracy rate of 88 percent. He also produced one key pass and created a big scoring opportunity.

In the attacking third, Ouma maintained a 79 percent passing accuracy, completing 30 of his 38 attempted passes, while maintaining a perfect passing record in his own half. He attempted four long balls, two of which found their target.

The Kenyan international was also influential on the ball, recording 75 touches while progressing play by over 133 metres. He drew two fouls and maintained a strong presence in midfield throughout the match.

Defensively, Ouma contributed with an interception, two clearances and five ball recoveries. He also won two of his four ground duels and succeeded in one aerial challenge.
