Kenyan international Ismail Dunga came off the bench in the 87th minute as his Sagan Tosu side played to a barren 0-0 draw against Sanfrecce Hiroshima in a Japanese top-flight match played at the Ekimae Real Estate Stadium Saturday morning.

Named in the matchday line up but on the benches, Dunga was brought on in the 87th minute in place of Daichi Hayashi but the few minutes he received were still not enough for him to make any difference in the game. Since making his debut in April, Dunga is still in search of his first goal for his new team.

With the one point earned from the draw, Sagan Tosu now sit third on the league table on 27 points after fourteen games played. Hiroshima on the other hand sit in eight on 18 points.

Tosu’s next clash will be against Oita Trinita while Hiroshima’s next game will be against Gamba Osaka.

Elsewhere in the United States, former Gor Mahia player Tobias Otieno did not feature for Union Omaha as his team picked up their second consecutive win, against Fort Lauderdale, in the opening two games of the USL League One.

Otieno continues to nurse an injury that rules him out of contention from the team. Evan Conway gave the away Omaha the lead in the 31st minute after finishing off a Damia Vlader teasing cross into the box.. In the 71st minute, Vlader turned goal scorer after firing in a low shot into the back of the net after being set up by John Scearce.

With the win, Omaha jumped upto second on the log on six points.
