St. Pauli say 'Thank you' and pick a point after Dortmund's 'suicide'

Borussia wasted a penalty, received a red card, had a 3-1 lead and in the end allowed the home team to return and snatch a point, scoring two goals in the final four minutes (3-3)
Five minutes before the end of the clash between St. Pauli and Borussia Dortmund in Hamburg, everyone would have told you that the BVB would take the three points and start the new edition of the Bundesliga with a win like so many times before.
Still, they would have been wrong! But let's start from the beginning...

Niko Kovac's men had a 1-0 lead at the break, and Serhou Guirassy was the leading figure of the match. The Guinean broke the deadlock in the 34th minute but then spoiled the impression, wasting a penalty five minutes later.
In the 50th minute, Andreas Hountundji of the home team levelled the score, but that was only a brief and short-term awakening for St. Pauli.
By the 74th minute, Dortmund were already 3-1 up behind Waldemar Anton and Julian Brandt goals. BVB just needed to defend a two-goal lead for quarter of an hour, but that's sometimes a tough task...
Everything went ideally until Filippo Mane conceded a penalty and was sent off. Daniel Sinani was impeccable from the spot and gave a ray of hope to his team. Yet, just three minutes later, that small ray became a reality, as Eric Smith levelled the score and stunned the visitors.
In the end, given that both Dortmund and Leverkusen failed to triumph in the opening round, Bayern Munich - which crushed RB Leipzig 6-0 yesterday - seems likely to participate in another easy race for the Bundesliga title.
