The club wants to give new coach Frank all the players he needs

Ever since the curtain fell on the 2024/25 season, Juventus has known it wants Randal Kolo Muani back in its ranks. The Frenchman impressed during his loan spell from Paris Saint-Germain, and after sending the striker back to Paris, the ‘Old Lady’ began working on bringing him back to Turin. Talks between the French and Italian giants have been ongoing for weeks, but both sides seem to be going in circles. The transfer is currently at a standstill. Juventus has made several offers for a loan deal with an obligation to buy for a set fee, but PSG has not been pleased with what’s been proposed.

Juventus believes there’s no need to rush. The club’s general manager, Damien Comolli, is pulling the strings and remains optimistic about a positive outcome:

Kolo Muani wants to come back and play for Juventus, and we’re working on it. We have David and Vlahović as strikers, so we’re not worried. We’re in talks with PSG, but there’s no rush,” said the head of Juventus' sporting operations in a relaxed tone. The question is how long that relaxed attitude will last, even though Kolo Muani would gladly return to northern Italy. The terms of the deal for the striker—whom PSG once paid 95 million euros to Eintracht Frankfurt for—have not yet been agreed upon, and Tottenham is looking to exploit the current lack of clarity. The London club has already reached out to PSG’s top brass and is prepared to stage a “heist” in Paris that could leave Juventus empty-handed.

Tottenham has already spent 140 million this summer on Mohamed Kudus, Mathys Tel, Kevin Danso, Luka Vušković, and Kota Takai, but their shopping spree isn’t over yet. They missed out on the extremely expensive Morgan Gibbs-White and were turned down by Rodrygo. Still, their goal is not just one marquee signing by transfer deadline’s end—but two. For the past two weeks, Tottenham has been working on bringing in Bayern’s Joao Palhinha, who hasn’t quite found his footing in Munich and is looking for more playing time. The Premier League is his comfort zone, as he had previously impressed at Fulham—leading to Bayern paying 51 million for him. Bayern is open to offers, and Tottenham will try to arrange a loan move. So far, 90% of the work has been done, the Brazilian agreed personal terms with the Spurs.
