South Korea are through to the 2022 World Cup round of 16 after coming from a goal down to beat Portugal 2-1 in their last group H match played on Friday evening.
Korea needed to win the game in order to get a round of 16 and they did it the hard way coming from a goal down to win it deep into stoppage time.
Making his first start in Qatar, Ricardo Horta gave Portugal a fifth-minute lead with a great right-foot finish after he was set up by Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot. Rattled by going down early in the game, South Korea started to attack with more purpose and Portugal stalwart Pepe thwarted their attacks severally with a number of well-timed challenges.

The start of the second half was a balanced affair with both teams attacking in search of more goals. In-Beom Hwang had a thunderous effort on Portugal's goal in the 67th minute but Costa superbly blocked it to keep the game even.
Korea’s late pressure bore fruits deep into stoppage when substitute Hee-Chan Hwang fired home after being fed by Heung-Min Son on the counterattack
