Former Nairobi City Stars midfielder Timothy Ouma is quickly becoming the hottest property in Europe with English Premier League chasing Sheffield United joining the race to land his signature.
Ouma has had a breakthrough campaign this season that has seen him score three goals and register two assists thus far in all competitions.
The 20-year-old has attracted a plethora of suitors following his impressive performances in the UEFA Europa League for his Swedish side Elfsborg.
British journalist Alan Nixon, via Patreon, revealed that Sheffield United became the latest club to express interest in the services of the Kenyan midfielder.
According to Nixon, Sheffield are leading the race to land the midfielder and are looking to rope him in in the January transfer window which will be during the off-season in Sweden.
Sheffield are currently joint top of the Championship log, but their inferior goal difference leaves them second to Sunderland.
Various news outlets from Sweden have previously reported that Premier League sides Manchester United, Brentford and Championship outfit Luton Town have lined up for Ouma.
Clubs in the Serie A have also expressed interest in Ouma with Elfsborg willing to offload him at the end of the season for the right price.
The club are demanding 7 million kroner (Ksh81.8 million) for the midfielder who joined Elfsborg back in July 2022 from Nairobi City Stars.
Following his arrival, Ouma had to endure limited game time and was mostly utilised in the U23 side.
