The Ugandan winger is open to training with URA should his Sharks allow him
With the expected dates for the resumption of sporting activities still unknown, Kariobangi Sharks winger Peter Lwassa is contemplating flying back to Kampala to keep fit at his boyhood club Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) should the ban persist.
The presidential decree saw teams halt their activities, leaving players to resort to individual training but Lwassa hopes to capitalize on the availability of passenger flights and jet back to Kampala and sharpen his goal-scoring instincts with URA.
However, the Ugandan forward who signed off with a brace against Mathare United before the International Break said his plan can only come to pass should his employer give him the go-ahead.
With sporting activities rolling behind closed doors in Uganda, the former Sofapaka forward is open to the idea of rejoining his former club albeit for fitness purposes and later return to Sharks once the ban is lifted.

"The club gave us a training regime which I am strictly following to keep myself fit. However, you can not compare individual training to teamwork. Should the ban persist and the club grants me permission, I may fly home and train with URA and at the same time follow the online sessions and all guidelines set as far as shielding myself from coronavirus is concerned. The door is always open for old boys to return and train," he said
Lwassa who joined the former Shield Cup holders in January last year regretted that the adjournment came when he was hitting his best form in front of the goal but promised to pick from where he left.
"I never saw another ban coming but there is little we can do apart from following the given guidelines. The team was riding on good form and personally I had just begun banging goals," he rued.
