New Gor Mahia signing Harun Shakava is missing from the squad that is set to take on Napsa Stars with new signing Fred Nkata included.
New signing Fred Nkata has been included in Gor Mahia’s travelling party to Zambia ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup Play-Offs against Napsa Stars.
Fred Nkata who joins the club from Bandari FC will bolster K’Ogalo’s leaky rearguard as he will fill the left-back position that has been problematic.
Former Posta Rangers defender Michael Apudo failed to impress in the position with right back Geoffrey Ochieng deployed but struggled in the position as he is a natural right-footer.
New signing Harun Shakava was conspicuously missing from the 22-man travelling squad despite signing earlier than Nkata, raising questions about his future in the team.
Form Four candidate, Benson Omala has been recalled to the side to galvanise the blunt attack despite only being days away from sitting for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.
Cameroonian Bertrand Ngafei Konfor who has had an underwhelming start to the season has been left out of the squad.
