The forward has managed to find the back of the net fourteen matches in as many matches making him one of the hottest products heading to the mid-season transfer window that is set to open in January

Top-flight sides Murang’a Seal and Shabana are interested in signing Mara Sugar forward Philemon Nyakwaka in the mid-season transfer window.

Nyakwaka has caught the attention of scores of clubs that ply their trades in the top flight courtesy of his scintillating form in the National Super League with Mara.

The forward has managed to find the back of the net 14 times, making him one of the hottest products heading into the mid-season transfer window that is set to open in January.

Nyakwaka revealed that Shabana and Seal had directly contacted him, and he went on to admit that other teams had reached out to Mara's bosses for negotiations.

KCB and Kenya Police are reportedly in the race to sign the Diploma in Civil Engineering holder.

I have personally received two offers from the two clubs. I am aware others have decided to contact the office for negotiations,” he told Mozzart Sport.

Recently, the club’s technical director, Boniface Ambani, came out and expressed his desire to have the forward in Mara’s books for longer, as the outfit is in contention for automatic promotion to the top flight.

Asked whether he prefers to remain in the second tier or feature in the top flight, Nyakwaka was quick to pick the latter.

He, however, insists that he will only leave Mara if the management will bless the transfer.

I am not paying much attention to the transfer rumours and offers at all, as I have a running contract with Mara. If the club agrees on my transfer, then I will consider leaving. I don’t want to bang on the Mara door on my way out at all. I would want it to be drama-free,” he expressed his desire.

Nyakwaka managed fourteen goals last season with the Sugarmen, who are battling for the two available promotion slots alongside Mathare United, Naivas, and Kisumu All Stars.
