Ismaila Sarr's early penalty was all the Hornets needed to get promoted
Watford managed to return to the promise land. They are again in the Premier League and they have two people to thank - Ismaila Sarr and Xisco Munoz.
Sarr's first half penalty strike launched the Hornets to the Premier League which created the opportunity for the Spanish manager to perform on one of the biggest football stages next year.
Eyebrows were raised after the 40-year-old Munoz's appointment in December but the move has proved to be a masterstroke.
A ninth win in 11 league games has seen the Hornets stay on course, while their promotion-battling rivals have faltered in recent weeks.
Fixtures against fellow promotion rivals Brentford and Swansea are yet to happen and Watford's match against Milwall was do-or-die.

Watford started brightly and took the lead on the 11th minute - Sarr had been causing the Millwall defence a migraine with his pace and tight ball control on the right wing.
As he darted into the area on 11 minutes, Billy Mitchell launched a vicious sliding tackle to concede the penalty.
Sarr stepped up to slot down the middle as cool as you like. His 13 goals and 4 assists were crucial for Watford during their Championship campaign.
Norwich already secured their promotion as the top team of England's second-tier, Watford is to follow and their rise under Munoz is just getting started.
