The hosts marshalled every part of the field neutralizing the 'Ditchez' midfield of Dhour Kane and Dismas Ongocho with their aggressive approach to the match unleashing attacks from both flanks.

Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association national football boys runners-up Dagoretti High School started their East Africa Secondary Schools games challenge on a bad foot as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to the host Ecole Secondaire de Commerce et compatabilité de Musambira in a match staged at Huye International Stadium.

The hosts marshalled every part of the field neutralizing the 'Ditchez' midfield of Dhour Kane and Dismas Ongocho with their aggressive approach to the match unleashing attacks from both flanks.

The Joseph Makokha-coached side had to depend on the individual brilliance of custodian Brandon Omondi who produced acrobatic saves to keep the Nairobi champions in play.

Musambira scored two quick goals immediately after the restart to take the game far from Dagoretti reach and held on to collect maximum points as they moved top of group B.

The kick-butt leaves Dagoretti bottom of pool B which also consists of record title holders St. Mary's Kitende, defending champions Kibuli SS and Tanzanian heavyweights Kiwira Coal Mines.

Other Kenya's representatives will take to green grass on Sunday with debutants Shanderema and six-time national football champions Solidarity Boys setting up mouth-watering clashes against Amus College and CGFK respectively.

In the girls' category, Kenya will hope to continue with her dominance in the ladies discipline as Madira Girls' start their maiden regional games with Gatizo test and national girls' gold medalists Butere Girls will settle scores against Kawempe Muslims of Uganda.
