Al-Hilal are not giving up on Mitro, and now, Al-Ahli are after the Craven Cottagers' boss Marco Silva

This is turning into a star wars saga with every new day. After several unsuccessful bids to sign Fulham's striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, Saudi Arabian powerhouse Al-Hilal are still not surrendering. However, their rival Al-Ahli are now after Mitro's boss, tactician Marco Silva.

According to Sky Sports, they are offering Silva £40m for a two-year deal to become their manager.

Al-Ahli, who are working to sign Riyad Mahrez and Allan Saint-Maximin to join Roberto Firmino, want a quick answer as they are in a training camp in Austria.

Meanwhile, Fulham presented Silva with a new contract, but as things stand, he would find it difficult to agree to the offer with one year remaining on his current deal.

And while Silva's name has just entered the strange world of transfer gossip, his main striker Mitrovic is fuming with anger for rejecting two Al-Hilal offers.

It is understood Mitrovic is angry at being priced out of a move, having been the subject of two failed bids.
