Sanjin says Omwenga, Kipkirui and Okumu have solidified his team further.

Nairobi City Stars head coach Sanjin Alagic says the signing of Nicholas Kipkirui, Kevin Okumu and Bolton Omwenga has made the team more solid in the second leg.

The Kawangware based side signed the trio during the January transfer window and the team's fortunes, compared to the first leg has greatly improved.

Kipkirui was acquired from Gor Mahia when he opted to terminate his contract with the reigning Kenyan league Champions. Okumu rejoined City Stars on loan for the remainder of the season from Wazito FC while Omwenga was signed after he terminated his contract with Tanzanian side, Biashara United.

City Stars has been in a good run since the football resumed last month winning four of their five matches across all competitions. This, Alagic believes is partly due to the addition of the trio to the team. The two fullback positions filled by Omwenga and Okumu were areas of concern for Stars while Kipkirui a point man if arguably their first-choice forward.

" We were playing well in the first leg but sometimes we were not getting results we deserved. We brought in Bolton, Chumsy and Kipkirui and they are very important players in very good positions and they have been very good so far," he said.

Meanwhile, Sanjin's men will be up against Bidco United in the FKF Cup quarters on Thursday at Ruaraka Grounds and Omwenga says they are heading to the match for a win as the target is to win the Cup.

"The target is to win this Cup and so for as each and every match is a final. We are facing a tough team and we have to give our very best, the confidence in the team right now is good and we will fight to win," he told Mozzart Sport.

In the other quarter-final match of the day, Gor Mahia will play Kariobangi Sharks at the Ruaraka Grounds. Already AFC Leopards and Equity FC have sealed progression to the semis the two teams will face off on Saturday.
