The Pharaohs defeated Djibouti (3-0) to book their place at the global showpiece, while the Black Stars destroyed the Central African Republic (5-0) and are almost there
The king of Cairo will once again shine on world football's grandest stage - we will see Mohamed Salah at the World Cup next year!
After missing out on Qatar 2022, Egypt has finally secured its ticket to the tournament that will take place across North America and Mexico in 2026.
It's the fourth World Cup in Egypt's history, and the second in the era of the nation's greatest ever footballer - Mo Salah. And when the Pharaohs needed him most, their captain answered the call.

Against Djibouti, with the World Cup visa on the line, the Liverpool star delivered a masterclass: a brace, an assist, and total control in Egypt's commanding 3-0 victory.
There was no room for surprises. Djibouti, with just one point from eight rounds, never looked capable of troubling the visitors. Egypt, calm and efficient, played just as much as they needed - no more, no less - to stamp their passport to football's biggest stage.
The job was done early. Just 15 minutes in, Adel opened the scoring, and minutes later Salah doubled the lead with his trademark precision. He struck again late in the match to seal the night, and the Pharaohs' dream.

Elsewhere, Ghana took a giant step toward joining Egypt at the global showpiece.
The Black Stars crushed the Central African Republic (5-0) away from home, with goals from Salisu, Partey, Djiku, Ayew, and Sulemana.
Madagascar kept a flicker of hope alive with a 2-1 win against the Comoros under a heavy rain, but it's a long shot. Ghana only need a draw at home against Comoros in the ultimate round to clinch their fifth World Cup appearance.
