The Egyptian forward is contemplating January transfer to the Saudi Arabia league
British media have reported – a meeting between Arne Slot and Mohamed Salah is scheduled for Friday morning and after the talks, it will be decided if the Egyptian forward will be included for the Saturday game against Brighton. The Dutch manager confirmed that the meeting will happen, stating that he has “no reasons not wanting him to stay“. Slot also revealed the decision to drop Salah from the San Siro clash included club sporting director Richard Hughes and owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG), but stated that the game time decision about the team is always his. Later this afternoon, The Telegraph revealed that the meeting went well and that Salah will be in the squad for tomorrow‘s game with Brighton.
This doesn‘t mean that the Egyptian will start the match or even come on as a sub, but that he will simply be in the first team squad. If he plays, it just might be his last ever appearance for the Reds. After Brighton, Salah will travel to Morocco to participate at AFCON with Egypt and his future might by up by January. When the transfer window opens, there will be Saudi Arabia and USA clubs who will come calling and Salah is certainly looking at his options. He travelled to London on Wednesday to meet his former teammate Jordan Henderson and hear his Saudi Arabia experience. The Sun published photos of him meeting Henderson in a west London restaurant where they obviously discussed the Saudi league. According to the reports, Al-Hilal, Al-Qadisah and Neom are interested in the Egyptian forward, while San Diego and Chicago Fire from the USA are also testing his willingness to leave the Premier League for the Major League Soccer.
