The player, currently in his second season with Tusker, has vowed to hit his best form soon.
Tusker’s marauding right back Daniel Sakari is a man on a mission.
When the 2022/2023 Football Kenya Federation Premier League campaign resumes on 4 January after a two week festive break, the former Kariobangi Sharks player has vowed to work extra hard in order to get to his full potential after giving himself a 60% rating in his start to the new season.

Having played in four out of the five opening matches for Tusker in the ongoing campaign, Sakari, who was widely touted as the solution to Harambee Stars’ right back problems, identified the areas he needs to improve in his game while admitting there has already been a slight positive output in his second year at the Brewers.
“I have played four games out of five so far and I can say I have improved by 10 percent to 60% because last season I was average. My decision making is not as good as it used to be and that is what I am working on currently. My passing and confidence on the ball also dropped a bit compared to my desired standards but I am improving this season,” the player told Mozzart Sport.

Having been part of the side that won the legally contested 2021/2022 league title under the Football Kenya Federation Transition Committee, Sakari tipped the Robert Matano coached side to go all the way once again in their quest of playing the continental CAF Champions League.
“We have started the season well and the most defining thing for us will be whether we can stay consistent for the whole season. Teams will want to make it hard for us and we have to face those challenges and take it game by game,” the player said.
Tusker, who have had a faultless start to the season after five wins in the opening five games will be keen to extend that sublime record when they take on a winless Vihiga Bullets at the Ruaraka Grounds on Wednesday.
