Bologna come from behind to beat Sergio Conceicao's men, who are now 8th

AC Milan's deplorable season has just become worse. The Rossonerri have dropped to eighth place on the Serie A table after a painful 2-1 loss to Bologna on Thursday night.

The hosts came from behind for a successful second-half comeback, as Rafael Leao's opener was cancelled out by Castro's and Ndoye's goals.

That was a matchday 9 game originally scheduled for October 2024 but was called off due to floods.

This time, it was the visitors that came in front near the end of the first half, as Maignan's long ball forward reached Leao, who sprinted through the centre and dribbled around Skorupski to fire it into an empty net.

Bologna responded straight from the restart with a controversial free kick. Castro made the most of the commotion in the box, but Milan expected that VAR would disallow it due to a handball in the build-up.

Alas, the goal stayed, and the turnaround was just around the corner, as Ndoye's late tap-in allowed Bologna to leapfrog the Rossonerri, who are now miles away even from the UEFA Conference League next season, let alone the Europa League or the Champions League.
