Rossoneri win to keep pressure on Inter

Two goals without reply gave Milan another three points in their bit for Scudetto

AC Milan are not giving up their title race. Despite their Derby della Madonnina setback a few weeks back and the injury to their leader Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Serie A second-placed team is currently showing good. There is still hope for their fans, especially after a highly professional 2-0 success in their match at Hellas Verona.

Rade Krunic scored a glorious free kick on 27 minutes to give Milan the lead and the Rossoneri never looked back. Verona will probably feel frustrated because they had their chances, but it wasn't their day. The hosts could have gone in front earlier after a sloppy back pass from Fikayo Tomori, but Kevin Lasagna wasted the opportunity.

Former Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot slammed a strike into the roof of Marco Silvestri's net to double the lead for the visitors. Their manager Stafano Pioli was delighted with the goal that all but secured the points for his team on a tricky trip to Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.

The win keeps Milan in the title race. Still, they will be casting nervous looks to Inters fixtures in hope that Antonio Conte's table-topping side will drop some points sooner rather than later. Nonetheless, to even be in the reckoning for the Scudetto, Milan have to string some wins. They are certainly doing their part with big wins at Roma now in Verona.

Elsewhere in Serie A, Fiorentina and Parma served up a six-goal treat at Artemio Franchi as two struggling teams cancelled each other out in a thrilling match, while Roma maintained their Champion League qualification chances with a slender home win over Genoa.
