The club also acquired more than ten players in the window after losing their best arsenals who led the club to an incredible top-five finish last season

Center back Elvis Ronack is optimistic about regaining his best form after sealing a return to Nzoia Sugar in the off-season transfer window from 2009 league champions Sofapaka.

Ronack secured a return ticket to Nzoia in the past transfer window, marking his return to the rebuilding sugar millers for a third stint.

Prior to his return to Nzoia, the defender was reported to have trained with league debutants Murang'a Seal, who were in search of players with top-flight experience.

Ronack arguably played his best football at Nzoia, catching the attention of record Kenyan champion Gor Mahia, who acquired his signature in August 2019.

However, competition for game time at Gor pushed him to return to Nzoia the following season in a bid to quench his thirst for playing time.

Ronack would ditch the Bungoma-based club in September 2021 for Sofapaka, with whom he remained until the end of the past season.

The central defender revealed his wish to capitalize on playing time, and platform offered by Nzoia to rediscover his form, which took a significant deep dive at Sofapaka.

"I want to take advantage of the opportunity at Nzoia and return to my best," he briefly told Mozzart Sport.

Besides signing Ronack, Nzoia acquired more than ten players in the window after losing their best arsenal, who led the club to an incredible top-five finish last season.

Nzoia had a season to remember after being in contention for the title for the better part of the campaign, but faded off in the closing stages, allowing Gor and Tusker to go all the way to the wire.
