Roma is again on top with Napoli after another win
Reading Time: 2min | Wed. 29.10.25. | 22:30
Parma was defeated in Rome 2-1
The Serie A title race continues between champions Napoli and another unlikely candidate – Roma. Gian Piero Gasperini took over in June and continued on the foundations set up by former coach and now director Claudio Ranieri. The Giallorossi are playing pretty boring football but the fans, looking for the title (or the Champions League) for years really don‘t care. Tonight they witnessed another such display, but after 90 minutes, the packed Olympico was happy: Roma – Parma 2-1.

First half was as boring as it gets. There was nothing really until the 36th minute, when Parma nearly took the lead. Ordonez was suddenly in a great opportunity near the goal area but Roma‘s keeper Mile Svilar was there to save it with his feet. Just a minute later, Leon Bailey, who came in for the injured Ferguson, was one on one with Parma keeper, but missed terribly before the refreee blew for offside. Two minutes later, Soule scored for Roma with a left-footed shot, but after a long VAR look, the goal was nullified due to offside. The exciting 15 minutes ended with excellent Dybala shot and even better Suzuki save.

Either he was really bad since he came in, or he was injured (again), but Bailey was subbed after only 38 minutes of play. Roma had one half-chance through Dybala but it was Hermoso whose header in the 63rd minute brought the home team an advantage. The last chance for Parma to turn things over was in the 79th minute, when Sorensen took a great volley from the edge of the penalty area, but Svilar made it just enought to tip the ball away. A minute later, a punishment came. Cristante played one on one with Dovbyk in Parma‘s penalty area and took a shot but the ball bounced to the Ukrainian striker, who immideatelly fired a shot which ended in the bottom left corner. But Parma didn‘t give up and scored in the 86th minute, for the discomfort of home fans, who started to celebrate the victory too early.
