The Red Devils upset the table-toppers on the road, handing the Gunners their first home defeat in the current Premier League campaign - 3-2
How is it possible that Manchester United aren't title contenders?! A week ago, they brushed aside Manchester City, and today, they made an even bigger upset, beating the table-toppers, Arsenal, at Emirates 3-2!
The Gunners played the perfect half an hour at the beginning of the game, taking the lead behind Lisandro Martinez's own goal, but Michael Carrick's team rose from the abyss and turned the tables in the 37th and 51st minutes thanks to Bryan Mbeumo's leveller (after Martin Zubimendi's horrendous blunder) and Patrick Dorgu's beautiful screamer.
The Red Devils defended skillfully until the 84th minute, when a corner kick was lethal for them, as Mikel Merino equalized, but the tie on the scoreboard was short-lived since Matheus Cunha fired an arrow in David Raya's goal and Arsenal fans' hearts just three minutes later!
This time, Arteta's crew couldn't bounce back. It was time for Man United's celebration!

Mikel Arteta's crew's intention was clear from the first referee's whistle - a victory. Hence, they pressed the rivals so much that United failed to reach the Gunners' box until the 23rd minute!
In the meantime, Arsenal were omnipresent at the opponents' half, wasting one colossal chance when Senne Lammens superbly stopped Martin Zubimendi's header.
And when the Londoners couldn't find the net, the Red Devils did it themselves! Piero Hincapie crossed the ball to the far post, where Patrick Dorgu failed to clear it properly, handing it to Bukayo Saka. Arsenal's vice-captain returned the ball inside, Martin Odegaard shot, and Lisandro Martinez clumsily deflected it into his own net, putting the Gunners in front in the 29th minute.
However, intentionally or not, Arteta's men suddenly lowered the pace after the opener, allowing United to start breathing, and the visitors seized their only chance, or better said, accepted Zubimendi's gift.
The Spaniard sent an awful back pass, giving up the ball to Bryan Mbeumo, who easily dribbled past David Raya, and equalized just eight minutes after the deadlock-breaker, setting the half-time score.
The beginning of the second half was completely opposite of the situation in the first period, as United bravely attacked and turned the tables just six minutes after the break, thanks to Dorgu's genuine banger and one of the most beautiful goals of the season!
That moment somewhat woke up the Gunners, who returned to the first-half mode, while Arteta made a rarely-seen move, making a quadruple sub! Ben White, Viktor Gyokeres, Mikel Merino, and Eberechi Eze all came off the bench for Hincapie, Gabriel Jesus, Zubimendi, and Odegaard.
Yet, the newcomers in the match brought little improvement. Arsenal had the game in control, but failed to create a single chance, as all the doors to the Red Devils' goal were locked. Michael Carrick's men knew that they needed to defend the lead with all the available means, and seemed to have found the way to fulfill their ambition.
In the 83rd minute, Lammens again came to the rescue, stopping Saka's dangerous strike, but even the magnificent Belgian couldn't cope with Nicolas Jover's corner-kick special! A corner that followed caused the usual melee in Arsenal's rivals' box, from which Merino emerged victorious, scoring the vital equalizer.
The packed Emirates went wild, but their joy was short-lived. When everyone expected the Gunners would go for a winner, United rose from the abyss again, getting back the advantage thanks to Matheus Cunha's fantastic effort from a distance!
This time, Arsenal couldn't bounce back. The Londoners were shocked, stunned, and had to accept a defeat. Their first at home in the current Premier League campaign. Man City and Aston Villa are now "just" four points behind, while United returned to the fourth position, leapfrogging Chelsea.
