REPORTS: AFC Leopards eyeing Malagasy coach after CHAN heroics

FKF Premier League side AFC Leopards’ are reportedly eyeing Madagascar national football team's head coach Romuald Felix.
Leopards have been without a substantive head coach from the time they parted ways with Tomas Trucha.

The club promoted Fred Ambani to the position of stand in coach after Trucha left, in November 2024, following a string of poor performances.
Leopards have been linked to The Berea tactician, and will face competition for his signature from a Mozambique club.

According to the publication, there is also a possibility of the tactician joining other leagues in the continent.

Felix guided Madagascar to a CHAN 2024 second-place, finish against all odds.
Madagascar eliminated popular teams along the way including a win against Harambee Stars in the quarter final.
After a 1-1 draw in regular time, the Island country emerged 4-3 victorious on post-match penalties.
Felix is a UEFA Pro Licence holder who prefers fluid, attacking football with focus on technical precision and quick transitions as well as employing high intensity pressing games to prevent opponent's build up play.
Should Leopards secure the signature of the 60-year-old, they will bring an end to his second sting with the national team.
