The Brazilian winger was shown a red card for an altercation with both Valencia's players and fans

Real Madrid forward Vincius Jr was enraged after suffering racist abuse from Valencia fans at the Estadio Mestalla on Sunday night.

The Brazilian international was sent off in the seventh minute of added time in Los Blancos' 1-0 La Liga loss against the relegation-battling hosts.

Vinicius was in the middle of an angry, both vocal and physical exchange, before being handed the first red card of his career.

However, the incident came on the back of a brawl between the 22-year-old Brazilian and a section of home supporters, as he accused them of racially abusing him.

Video footage of the incident shows Vincius shouting at the fans and reporting it to match referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea.

The incident is expected to be reviewed by La Liga in the coming days, with Vinicius facing a three-game ban.

When it comes to the match itself, Valencia celebrated a 1-0 victory thanks to Diego Lopez's first goal for the club following Justin Kluivert's assist. Despite lining up a much-changed starting XI compared to the one against Manchester City in the Champions League, Carlo Ancelotti didn't manage to wake up his team. Los Blancos are now third on the table, a point behind city rival Atletico Madrid.
