After a goalless draw at Camp Nou, Rayo Vallecano are facing another Barcelona-based slot, Espanyol, in the opening game of the new LaLiga round
With an average age of 29.6 years, Rayo Vallecano is one of the oldest in LaLiga. Despite that, they fought like a bunch of highly inspired youngsters at Camp Nou, clinching a vital goalless draw against Barcelona in the season's opening game.
Their keeper, Stole Dimitrievski, was exquisite in front of Lewandowski and co, making some remarkable saves to prevent the favourites from winning. Rayo's most decorated player, veteran Radamel Falcao fought bravely like a proper defender, and this sort of approach paid off for the minnows.
Now, they face the other, 'smaller' club from the Catalan capital, hoping they could earn some more points on this short tour.
Espanyol are not the one they should be scared of too much, albeit they drew at Celta in the first round just as Rayo.

They earned it with a stoppage-time equaliser in the 98th minute from the spot at Celta.
Those two teams don't promise a lot of goals, but we'll definitely see some hardship battle and probably a draw that will please both Rayo and Espanyol in their relegation battle.
