Swiss international striker arrives in the Principality from Borussia Monchengladbach
If you're not excited about watching the attacking trio of Wissam Ben Yedder, Takumi Minamino and Breel Embolo - you should be! Monaco have all but sealed the $12.6 million transfer of Borussia Monchengladbach's Swiss striker to complete a highly-capable forward line ahead of the new campaign.

The 25-year-old Yaounde-born goalscorer will likely undergo medical at Monaco sometime on Thursday before putting pen to paper on a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 club. Embolo is set to be Monaco's second summer signing following the arrival of Japanese international Minamino from Liverpool.
At the age of just 25, Embolo has already racked up over 50 appearances for the Swiss international side, scoring 9 goals. In the Bundesliga last season, he scored 29 goals, scoring on 9 occasions. 6 of those goals came in the final 8 games of the 2021/22 season.

Monaco continue to spend the money they received when they sold Aurelien Tchouameni to Real Madrid. However, they still need someone to slot into the gap left by the young midfielder's departure. Leicester's Boubakary Soumare and Lille's Amadou Onana are mentioned as possible targets, although Phillipe Clement's side hasn't made any official offers just yet.
