PSG's insanity in a nutshell: splashed millions on a boy, now they are desperately trying to offload him

Hugo Ekitike is also keen on leaving Parc des Princes on loan, with Brentford looking like the most probable option

For a while, it seemed like Hugo Ekitike was one of the crucial elements of Paris Saint-Germain's future. They bought the promising kid of Cameroonian descent from Reims in 2022 for €35 million, bonuses included.

However, after only 26 appearances for the Saints and three goals, they're looking to offload the 21-year-old striker.

As per Sky Sports, PSG like the idea of Ekitike signing for the English Premier League side Brentford. Ekitike is also understood to be interested in the move to Brentford, but the West London club apparently have other more preferable targets, with Brennan Johnson of Nottingham Forest also in their sights.

The young player is, meanwhile, being offered to clubs across Europe as PSG looks to balance their FFP obligations, including others in the Premier League, such as Fulham, West Ham and Everton.

The French club see Brentford as an ideal place for him to develop and - hopefully - lead to strong future resale value in the form of a sell-on clause, which they want in any deal for Ekitike to leave.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports Italy are reporting that AC Milan have shown some interest in signing Ekitike on loan. The 21-year-old forward is considered a top talent, but he will not come cheap in terms of both wages and a transfer fee.

Last but not least, Ekitike has been offered to Eintracht Frankfurt as part of negotiations for Randal Kolo Muani.
