Marco Verratti and Julian Draxler were inches away from going to Qatar. However, the latest reports say the German player is staying

We were informed that Paris Saint-Germain veteran duo Julian Draxler and Marco Verratti are on the verge of moving to Qatar. However, Draxler has made a late U-turn and according to much-respected journalist Florian Plettenberg, the 29-year-old German midfielder suddenly decided to change his plans.

As per Plettenberg and Sky Sports, Julian Draxler will not move to Qatar.

"Draxler has cancelled the move to Al-Ahli SC from Doha. This means that Draxler will initially stay with the top French club Paris Saint-Germain. In the previous season, the World Cup winner was loaned to Benfica from PSG."

Draxler arrived at Parc des Princes for E36m in the winter of 2017, and has made 198 appearances for the Saints, embellished with 26 goals and 41 assists.
