Mara Sugar vs Gor Mahia
At the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay, Mara Sugar will host newly crowned champions Gor Mahia in one of the most talked-about fixtures of the round.
The match was initially scheduled for Sunday but was moved forward following a ruling from the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) after a venue disagreement.
Mara Sugar had pushed for the game to be played in Mwea, while FKF maintained that Homa Bay would host the fixture. The issue has now been settled, and the match will go ahead as planned in Homa Bay.
On paper, the game carries little pressure. Gor Mahia have already secured the league title with two matches to spare, while Mara Sugar are safe from relegation.
However, the Sugar Millers will head into the encounter full of confidence, having recorded impressive results this season against top teams such as AFC Leopards, Tusker, Shabana and Ulinzi Stars.
Gor Mahia, though already champions, will be keen to maintain momentum and could still approach the match with intensity following the recent off-field controversy surrounding the fixture.
Kick-off is at 3 PM.
Kenya Police FC vs Kariobangi Sharks
At the Police Sacco Grounds, Kenya Police FC face Kariobangi Sharks in a match with major implications at both ends of the table.
Police sit third on the log with 53 points, and a victory would secure them a top-three finish, guaranteeing them Ksh 2 million in prize money. For Sharks, the stakes are even higher as they remain in the relegation zone and must win to keep survival hopes alive.
Sharks have collected 34 points, just one behind Ulinzi Stars, who occupy the final safe position. A defeat, combined with a Ulinzi Stars win over Tusker, would confirm their relegation in what has become a tense survival battle under William Muluya.
Historically, Police have dominated this fixture. In nine league meetings, Sharks have managed just one win, while Police have recorded five victories and three draws. The first leg this season was also won by Police through a narrow one-goal margin.
Kick-off is at 3 PM.
Ulinzi Stars vs Tusker FC
At the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Ulinzi Stars will look to build on their 2-1 comeback win over Mathare United when they host Tusker FC.
The two sides met recently in the Mozzart Bet Cup quarter finals, where Tusker scored a late winner to eliminate Ulinzi. The Soldiers will be eager for revenge as they push to secure their Premier League status with a vital home win.
Tusker have endured an inconsistent campaign, winning just two of their last six matches. They currently sit ninth with 44 points, a season that has fallen short of expectations despite their run to a cup final.
Ulinzi, however, face a difficult task, having not beaten Tusker in any competition since November 2023.
Kick-off is at 3 PM.
Sofapaka vs KCB
In the other fixture, already-relegated Sofapaka will face KCB FC at the Kasarani Annex as they play for pride.
