Pressure cooker Bayern - Neuer: They ripped out my heart! Brazzo: You put your interests above the club's

Sports director Salimahidžić at war with another star

Hats off to the transfers (the latest in the form of João Cancelo), kudos to the results as well (since he came the club won the Champions League in addition to dominance in Germany), it is likely that Hasan Salihamidžić has enough quality from the professional side as soon as he crowns his seventh year running the offices of Bayern Munich. However, he seems to be very difficult to work with.

The man managed to quarrel with Robert Lewandowski, David Alaba, and now - Manuel Neuer. It can hardly be a coincidence.

Brazzo stepped into a conflict with the star custodian because the experienced goalkeeper complained to the public when last month the club suddenly dismissed Toni Tapalović from the position of goalkeeper coach. Aside from who is right and what exactly is behind the dismissal of a man who spent almost 12 years at the Allianz Arena, the impression is that everything could have been done with a little more style. This way, in a situation where the Bavarians have not beaten anyone since the beginning of 2023, another open conflict can hardly benefit anyone.

It all started with Neuer's attack on the leaders of Bayern, who decided to fire Tapalović, even though he had been working with Manuel since 2011.

"It was a massive hit for me. People from the club informed me about his dismissal. It came out of nowhere. It was also a surprise for Toni. I didn't understand what was happening. It hit me hard. It was the most brutal thing I've experienced in my career. It was as if someone had ripped out my heart," Neuer said.

Salihamidžić, now in the role of executive, and once sports director, decided to position himself authoritatively, and made it clear to Neuer that he was, after all, his subordinate.

"I understand that Manuel is affected, however, I expected a different behavior from him, especially as he is the captain of the team. Parting with Tapalović was difficult for us too, from the human side. It has nothing to do with Neuer. I am disappointed that Manuel put his personal interests above the interests of the club. If there are any consequences, we will first talk to the goalkeeper," Salihamidzic clarified.

It can be concluded from the words of the current president of Bayern, Oliver Kahn, that it could break off the veteran's back.

"The parts of the interview that concern Bayern are correct, but those when Neuer mentiones Tapalović do not befit him as a captain, nor do they support Bayern's values. Moreover, such words are inappropriate, because we have a series of very important matches ahead of us," Kahn added.
