Incredible twist for Neymar: an unnamed billionaire left him his entire fortune

A Brazilian billionaire has left shockwaves behind with a will naming Neymar as the sole heir to his immense fortune.

The late businessman, aged 31 and from Rio Grande do Sul, formally registered the document at a notary office before his death. According to reports from F5, he transferred "all his worldly possessions" to the superstar — a package worth an estimated 752 million pounds.

The inheritance stretches far beyond cash, encompassing a range of properties, high-value investments, and shares in leading companies.

Court documents show the man, who had no children, validated the will in June 2025 in the presence of two witnesses and a substitute notary. In it, he emphasized that he was "in full judgement, free from any coercion or inducement," stressing that his motivation came solely from his "identification with the player."

"I like Neymar, I identify with him a lot," the statement reads. "He's not self-serving, something rare these days."

The benefactor, who battled health issues, also pointed to Neymar’s public bond with his family. "His connection with his father reminds me a lot of the one I had with mine, who has passed away," he explained.

Neymar himself is already among the world’s wealthiest athletes, with an estimated fortune of 6.2 billion Brazilian Real (846 million pounds). The courts must now validate the will to "confirm the player's wishes" before assets can be transferred, a process that could involve heavy taxation and possible legal disputes.

Despite the story dominating headlines in Brazil, Neymar has so far remained silent on the unexpected windfall.

The 33-year-old earned 665 million Brazilian Real (90.7 million pounds) in 2024 from his Al-Hilal contract alone, making him the third highest-paid footballer worldwide according to Forbes — behind only Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
