Posta Rangers interim coach Charles ‘Korea’ Omondi has admitted his side must improve in attack despite their impressive run in the FKF Premier League, following consecutive goalless draws.

Omondi acknowledged that the Mailmen have struggled for goals in recent matches and need to rediscover their cutting edge in the final third.
Posta have now failed to score in two straight league outings, drawing 0-0 against Bandari in a midweek clash after a similar result against APS Bomet over the weekend.
While the team has shown defensive solidity, Omondi believes their lack of goals is becoming a concern.
“We have failed to score in the last two matches, and that is something of concern for us,” Omondi said.
“Defensively, we have done well, but going forward, there is work to be done. We will sharpen our attack to ensure we start scoring again.”
Under the former Naivas FC coach, Posta Rangers’ goals have largely come from Brian Otieno and Jackson Dwang, but Omondi has challenged the squad to find more sources of goals to ease the burden on the few regular scorers.
The most recent stalemate came on Tuesday evening at the Kasarani Annex, where Posta Rangers were held by Bandari in a midweek FKF Premier League fixture.
Despite their struggles in front of goal, Posta Rangers remain fifth on the league table with 21 points from 14 matches.
Omondi, a former Gor Mahia and Kisumu Posta goalkeeper, credited his team’s defensive improvement for their strong position on the log.
“Last season, we played 36 matches and managed only three clean sheets,” he said.
“This season, we have already kept four clean sheets in just 14 matches, and that is a huge plus. Our defence has really improved.”
The former Harambee Stars goalkeeper trainer also reflected on the Bandari match, noting that his side showed resilience, particularly in a difficult first half.
“In the first half, we were on the edge, but we held on and avoided conceding,” Omondi said.
“In the second half, we improved but struggled to score. With a goalless draw, there are both positives and negatives to take from the game.”
Posta Rangers will next travel to the Ulinzi Sports Complex for a league encounter against Ulinzi Stars as they look to address their attacking shortcomings while maintaining their defensive strength.
