The law enforcers have been dominant in their last two outings against the Mailmen, hammering them 2-0 and 3-1 respectively.

Police FC will host Posta Rangers at their Police Sacco Stadium on Friday as they seek to bag their first win of the new Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) 2023-24 season.

The Law Enforcers opened their campaign last weekend with a frustrating barren draw against a youthful Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani Annex.

“It was a tough match, but my boys gave a good account of themselves," Police FC coach Francis Baraza told Mozzart Sport. “But, we have put that behind us with our focus now fully on Posta Rangers.”

Police have been dominant in their last two outings against the Mailmen, hammering them 2-0 and 3-1 respectively in the latest encounters, yet, Baraza is not getting carried away by history.

"The league is still new and teams are still unpredictable as they have strengthened their squads. Besides, football is not about history, but the present and how you prepare for a particular match," the 2006 league winner with the defunct Sony Sugar FC stated.

Christened the PSG of FKFPL, Police carries the weight of high expectations as they are expected to at worst win the league this season.

The team comprises some of the finest local talents, who have plied their trade both locally and across borders and have honors to boot.

Amongst their latest signings includes former Gor Mahia skipper Kenneth Muguna, who joined from Azam FC of Tanzania, balling former Kariobangi Sharks midfielder Tyson Otieno and South Sudanese forward Tito Okelo.

"Being a coach, you must be ready to soak in the pressure and concentrate on your job. I'm confident that we're on the right track," the former Tanzania's Biashara United manager added.

Following Sunday’s draw, Police FC winger Reagan Otieno declared that their next game is a must win. "We were a bit rusty being our first game. As you know, we're going for the title, so our next game is a must win."
