Manchester City's midfielder agrees on a deal with Barcelona despite some financial uncertainties
The fact he has spent seven amazing years at the Etihad, winning countless trophies, didn't bother him. Nor the one that Barca are going through a challenging period amid financial chaos caused by previous boardrooms. Nor the level of expectations his arrival would trigger, albeit he's already 32. Nor the reduced contract.

All those things seem to be irrelevant, or at least not substantial in Ilkay Gundogan's case, as he definitely decides to join Barcelona.

The German international underwent medical tests in Munich on Tuesday, after which he met Mateu Alemany to put the pen on paper.
Gundogan has rejected the renewal offer from Manchester City, as well as a further proposal from Arsenal, in order to sign for the Blaugrana, who are confident of being able to register him with La Liga, which was a sticking point during negotiations.
