Kenya are now third in Group F with three points from two matches and a plus four goal difference
Kenya men's national football team - Harambee Stars - on Monday 21 November night registered their first win the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers thanks to a convincing 5-0 victory over lowly Seychelles in a match played at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Alot of positives to draw form the game including: Rooney Onyango's debut goal, Benson Omala's goal eight minutes into his debut, and a double from Michael Olunga - or maybe could have been more.
A look at the player ratings powered by Mozzart Sport:

Patrick MatasiGoalkeeper
Maybe the loneliest man on the pitch. Enjoyed a night where nothing much came in his direction. When called on? He was quick off his line and set pace for Kenya's attack. A clean sheet for his 'troubles.'

Amos NondiDefense
Deployed once again as the right back. Made some overlapping runs on attack but the main highlight was his quick thinking when he took a quick throw-in in Masud Juma's path for Kenya's third goal. Defensively gave a few push and shoves to the opponent.

Johnstone OmurwaDefense
Redemption to some extent for him on the night. Did what was asked of him in maintaining a high line of defense and most importantly, didn't make a mistake. Steady.

Dennis Ng'ang'aDefense
After a rather bright individual performance in his debut, he can now delight in a win in his second game. Comfortable as the left sided center-half and often looked like a man to depend on on set-pieces.

Erick OumaDefense
Good to see him back to the squad after missing the Gabon match. Was a ball of energy as he always is. Maybe on a purely productive day gets at least two assists for his lovely crosses from the left. Looked to pick a knock late in the half that necessitated the change at half time.

Anthony AkumuMidfield
Composed as ever in midfield. His movement to near attack on full-blown presses in the first half was amazing to watch. Had a few touches get out of him in attacking zones but overdid on what he was supposed to do on the night.

Richard OdadaMidfield
As overly critical as it sounds, this was not one of his best outings for Kenya. His ceiling dictates less miss-passes, little to no casual glimpses and better decisions up-front. To his credit, won the ball that led to Kenya's fourth goal.

Eric JohanaMidfield
Made a return to the national set-up but looked a tad average. Nothing explosive came through from his left side and some of his set-pieces were underwhelming. Another chance for him would suffice.

Rooney OnyangoDefense
He is living a dream this young man. After simply being the standout on such a rather composed performance for the rest of the squad, he came up with the icing on the cake: a debut goal for the national team.
Mind you he is playing in a 'not-so-familiar' position. A late assist to his club-man for the fifth goal a cap on his superb performance. Our Man of the Match.

Masoud Juma ChokaAttack
Almost looked like a shadow player for almost a half before latching onto a quick Nondi throw-in to lash home Kenya's third goal. He often found ways to appear in great positions but think about this: three consecutive goals for the national team. Not bad.

Michael OlungaAttack
Shushed lots of doubters early on with two quick-fire goals but then invited the unhappy army back to his side by missing close to five open opportunities to increase Kenya's margin of victory. Was surprising to see several 1v1 opportunities on his favored left foot blasted to the empty seats behind the goal.

Aboud OmarDefense
Came off the bench for Eric Ouma and gave a god show with a cut-back pass from the left that Rooney Onyango delightfully lashed into the net. Offered good options in attack.

Benson OmalaAttack
For all the clamor to be involved in the national team set-up, got his debut for Kenya and duly delivered. A left foot was all it took in his second touch to divert Rooney Odhiambo's cross for his debut goal. He had been introduced eight minutes before that. Great cameo.

Ayub Timbe MasikaMidfield
Came on in the 66th minute, unfortunately didn't pull any trees worth noting.
