Kenya will now look to redeem themselves in a third-place playoff against the losers of the Rwanda vs Grenada tie
Kenya men's national football side Harambee Stars had a night to forget as they lost 5-4 on penalties to Estonia, having been held to a 1-1 draw in regular time at the Amahoro Stadium, Rwanda, on Friday, 27 March.
In this piece, we look at how Benni McCarthy's men fared against a team ranked 16 places below them in the FIFA rankings.

Failed to command his area on the corner Kenya conceded from. After that, he went untested.

Rooney OnyangoDefense
Was enterprising in his own way - bombing forward on the right wing - but to little effect.

Alphonce OmijaDefense
Did not have lots of danger to deal with, but for a slight hiccup at the end, when he got in his keeper's way.

Frank OdhiamboDefense
Was solid on his return to the national team, but will be questioned for failing to track Tammik's run in the lead-up to Estonia's goal.

Aboud OmarDefense
Like Rooney, the skipper was also deployed in an attacking sense, but delivered little to make an impact.

Richard OdadaMidfield
Was lucky to avoid an early sending off with a rash challenge in the first half, and lacked the energy to run an inferior opponent rugged. His failed panenka in the shoot-outs sealed his day to forget.

Displayed his usual courage and intensity on the ball. Was the man looking to exploit spaces and runs from his teammates.

Zech ObieroMidfield
Marked his debut with a beautiful assist to Ogam, and kept himself involved upront, including going for goal with an ambitious effort that sailed over the bar.

William LenkupaeMidfield
Offered very little in the hour he was on the pitch. His lack of genius and physicality was apparent.

Initially looked like the player Kenya would rely on, but was unlucky to hobble off with an injury after only 37 minutes.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Another goal for him in the national team colors after a superb run inside the box. A tireless display.

Benstanley OmondiMidfield
The much-maligned man, to his credit, injected some innovation upfront, and could on another day, have easily ended up with a couple of assists at the end.

Austin OdhiamboAttack
Came on shortly after the hour-mark, but labored to ignite the necessary spark.
