Gor Mahia head coach Vaz Pinto has explained why Burundian striker Jules Ulimwengu is yet to link up with the rest of the team.
There have been rumors surrounding the future of the former Rayon Sports striker with some sources claiming that he had ditched the club over non-payment of his salary. Gor has been struggling financially and hasn't been able to pay its players consistently.
Ulimwengu has not trained with the rest of the team since March when sporting activities were stopped in the country and he missed his team's match against Nairobi City Stars on Sunday afternoon at Utalii Grounds.
Asked of the attackers whereabouts after the game against City Stars, the Portuguese tactician explained that the striker tested positive for COVID-19 and will only rejoin the team once he tests negative.
