Vaz Pinto's buddy donates training kit to Gor
If you have keenly paid attention to detail, you have probably noticed that Gor Mahia players resumed training ahead of the resumption of the league in a new kit.
According to the club's vice chairperson Francis Wasuna, the kit was donated to the club by coach Carlos Vaz Pinto's friend who got wind of their rich history in Kenyan football.
Wasuna says the kit which bears their official sponsor will only be used for training purposes and does not in any way breach their agreement with their official kit supplier Umbro.

Gor entered into partnership with the English sportswear in January last year becoming the third top flight after AFC Leopards and Kariobangi Sharks to don in their uniform.
"A special friend gifted us the kits. He is a close friend to our head coach who send us the gift on account of our good performance in the league over the years. The kits will be strictly be used for training only," he said.
This is not the first time the struggling champions have received kits from well wishers this season as city businessman and sports enthusiast Eliud Owalo gave them forty tracksuits in December last year.

Owalo came to the rescue of the record Kenyan champions after the club embarrassingly donned in borrowed tracksuits for their CAF Champions League preliminary round match away to APR of Rwanda.
Recently, Gor set up a official club shop where their fans can purchase their merchandise. The shop is located at Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) along Kenyatta Avenue at Pioneer House, fourth floor room 411.
