Pinchez urges teammates to button up all loopholes for sake of maximum points

Nairobi City Stars midfielder Peter 'Pinchez' Opiyo has implored his teammates to work towards ensuring that they do not drop points that they should be collecting in matches.

Speaking to the club's media, the midfield lynchpin has said that the winning mentality is all over the team, thanks to their performance in the first leg that has left them second on the log as the second leg of the campaign gears up.

The former AFC Leopards player believes that Simba wa Nairobi have what it takes to produce an even better display in the second leg of the campaign, provided they kill matches and avoid dropping winnable points.

“I must say that so far we’ve had a decent season and it can only get better. If only we can avoid dropping points that could have been crucial as far as the table (standing) is concerned,” Opiyo told the club's media.

He has attributed the current success at the team to the team chemistry shown in the side, adding that they are approaching matches with a strong victory mentality.

“Team chemistry is perfect and it’s a great plus to us. Because of that, we approach all games with a winning mentality. I must say it going on well for us and we can only make it better,” he added

Pinchez was the club's top scorer last season and has managed to net twice this season, grabbing a brace in the 2-0 win over Mathare United in December last year.
