The outstanding defender is being linked with FC Barcelona, and the Catalan club is his one and only love

Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni is said to be pushing for a move to Barcelona once the season ends. The Nerazzurri are open to cashing in on one of their most valuable assets, with a significant transfer fee seen as a way to stabilize finances and support future squad building.

Even though Bastoni remains tied to Inter until 2028, ongoing tensions and external pressure at San Siro have sped up discussions about a possible exit. Reports from Gazzetta dello Sport suggest the club is already planning to make him available in the upcoming transfer window, setting an asking price close to €100 million. While negotiations could lower that figure, Inter’s leadership considers this potential sale a key move for funding their next phase.

At Camp Nou, Barcelona’s recruitment team is closely monitoring the situation, aware that a high-profile transfer could soon materialize. Talks between Bastoni and Inter over his future are expected after the current season wraps up, but the defender is already leaning strongly toward a move to Spain.

Interest from the Catalan side is nothing new, as they have tracked him multiple times in the past. Bastoni himself is keen on experiencing La Liga, and that ambition could heavily influence the outcome of negotiations.

Since breaking into Inter’s first team, he has made 293 appearances, contributing eight goals and 30 assists—impressive numbers for a defender. While Barcelona currently rely on options like Pau Cubarsi and Ronald Araujo, the squad lacks a consistent left-footed centre-back. With Andreas Christensen dealing with injury issues and nearing the end of his contract, Bastoni is viewed as a strong fit to strengthen and refresh the defensive line.
