Reds are the only Premier League side ever to reach the finals of the European Cup/UCL, the FA Cup and the League Cup in the same season
It must have been frustrating growing up in the 90s and being a young Liverpool fan. Too young to remember the glory days of the 70s and 80s, too old not to be aware of how mediocre they are at that moment, unlike their archrivals, Manchester United, conquering both England and Europe by storm in the glory days of Fergie's era.
However, the winds of change slowly started to arise on the verge of the 21st century, under the management of meticulous Frenchman, late Gerard Houllier. He guided Liverpool to their first European trophy after more than 15 years, the UEFA Cup title, in 2001.

But not even the most optimistic Scousers couldn't foresee how bright the future would be for the Reds in the upcoming more than two decades.
"My eldest daughter has seen LFC reach eight European finals. She's just turned 19. Glory days, " wrote one Liverpool fan on Twitter last night after Jurgen Klopp's boys secured their place in the Champions League final by beating Villarreal 5-2 on aggregate.
The visa for the Paris showdown brought them not just tons of joy but also a place in the history of English football.

And coincidence or not, the only one close to this was Houllier's Liverpool back in 2001 - they won all three finals, except the European one was not the Champions League, but the mentioned UEFA Cup (Europa League predecessor).
This Klopp's slot has already won one - League Cup, beating Chelsea on penalties after a goalless draw.
Are they capable of repeating Houllier's achievement? You bet they are!
