Patrick Aussems leaves AFC Leopards

The Belgian tactician has announced his departure from the den, effectively ending the three year union with the club

Patrick Aussems has taken to social media to confirm his exit from Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side AFC Leopards, citing personal reasons.

According to reliable sources, AFC Leopards top management had a virtual meeting with the Belgian born coach on Monday to negotiate a renewal deal. The club offered Aussems a new deal but were put off by his demands.

Aussems, who was reportedly on a salary of Ksh 850,000 monthly, requested a two year deal on improved terms that would see him pocket Ksh 1 million per month.

The former Simba man leaves amid a financial tussle with the 1998 Kenya Premier League champions and is reportedly owed close to Ksh 21 million with the value appreciating with increase in dollar rates.
