Posta Rangers FC head coach Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omolo is elated after his side beat the drop on Sunday by settling for a one-all draw with Bandari FC in an FKF Premier League match staged at the Mbaraki Sports Club.
The draw, although it saved the club from automatic relegation, earned them a playoff spot where they will come up against Naivas FC in a two-legged FKF Premier League–National Super League promotion/relegation playoff.

The winner, on aggregate, will secure a spot in the top-flight.
The mailmen fell behind early on courtesy of a Beja Nyamawi strike, but they responded through Felix Oluoch—a goal that handed them hope of retaining their top-flight status for next season.

Speaking after the match, Pamzo lauded the team’s display against the Dockers.
Although he admits that they had chances to win the game, he is glad they handed themselves a second lease of life with the playoff spot.
"I am proud of the effort and performance from my players. We had several chances and, had we been more clinical, we could have won. Nonetheless, I am happy we have secured a playoff opportunity to fight for our place in the FKFPL,” he said.
Bandari coach Ken Odhiambo, whose future at the club remains in doubt, was not happy with the team’s performance, but added it gave him insights on how to plan for next season.

"Compared to our last game against Mathare, this was not the outcome we hoped for. I wanted a home win to close the season on a high note, but the match gave us insights into our squad depth as we prepare for the new season."
FKF is yet to announce dates for the playoffs.
