One-third of the worlds football wonderkids come from Africa

Ansu Fati, Eduardo Camavinga, Jamal Musiala, Joelson Fernandes... Just to name a few. Those are the most talented football prospects globally and have one other thing in common - they are all of the African origins.

In a traditional summary, 'The 50 best wonderkids in football', conducted by the website Goal.com, as many as 18 players of African descent born after 1 January 2002 are considered to be among the best in the world in their generation. Unfortunately, only a single one of them, Amad Diallo of Manchester United, plays for his native African country - Ivory Coast. All the others, though, were eligible to play for both, country of their ancestors and the one from Europe/America they were raised in. Except for young Diallo, all the others have chosen to represent France, Germany, England, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, USA...

The youngsters we mentioned at the beginning of the text are at the very top of this top prospect's list. Fati, who is featured for Barcelona, and Camavinga, a rising star of the French side Rennes, are seen as the two most gifted offsprings in the world. Just imagine them playing for their native selections, Guinea-Bissau and Angola/Congo. Huh, what if...
