A couple of weeks ago, these tickets cost a few hundred dollars, and now their price is over 20 times smaller

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is entering its final stage, as the eight remaining teams prepare for quarter-final games. At the same time, ticket prices for their matches have drastically plummeted, leaving FIFA management flabbergasted.

Namely, according to The Athletic, tickets for the first quarter-final duel between the Brazilian Fluminense and the Saudi Al Hilal (22.00) can be bought for $11.15, while the ones for Chelsea's clash against Palmeiras (04.00) cost twice as much. To put things into perspective, ticket prices ahead of the tournament for any group stage match have been higher than those for the 1/4-final matches?!

To watch a match between European giants Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta (Saturday, 19.00), one will have to pay around $44. More than for the rest of the games, yes, but still significantly less than before the competition started, as the initial prices for the quarter-finals at the Bayern Munich website reached $500, The Athletic reports.

Tickets for Real Madrid's matches are the most expensive at the moment, as Los Blancos are the most popular club in the world. The cheapest seats for their quarter-final duel against Borussia Dortmund (Saturday, 23.00) are $128, while the better ones are over $300.

A dynamic pricing model FIFA applied to the maiden edition of the Club World Cup turned out to be beneficial for the viewers, as they can now buy tickets for over 20 times lower price they would have paid before the tournament started. Those who had bought them in advance obviously made a mistake.

When it comes to attendance, FIFA claimed that an average of 35,000 fans have watched matches so far, though several duels were much more interesting than others. The Athletic states that the Round of 16 games between Monterrey and Inter Milan and Chelsea and Benfica attracted around 25,000 people, while over 60,000 people watched the duels between Juventus and Real Madrid and Flamengo and Bayern Munich.

Furthermore, the same source claims that FIFA donated tickets to numerous football groups and veteran organizations and lowered prices for students ahead of the opening game of the tournament between Inter Miami and the Egyptian Al Ahly, all to increase the number of spectators.

Regardless, prices for the semi-final clashes are still high, as the cheapest ones for the duel in which Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern, or Dortmund will play cost nearly $1000. Tickets for the other semi-final match are around $500.

Finally, the cheapest ticket for the grand final is slightly less than $900 at the moment, though if the current trend continues, tickets for the final three matches of the tournament will become significantly cheaper.
