Sweden and Australia face off this Saturday morning in the FIFA Women's World Cup bronze-medal game

There's probably nothing so frustrating for those who aimed for the grand prize, the gold medal, than to wake up one day and prepare themselves for the third-place battle.

Yet, someone has to play that undesired role, and when it comes to the super-exciting FIFA Women's World Cup, the two teams we're left with for this tie are co-host Australia and Sweden.

Sat 11.00: (2.40) Sweden W (3.45) Australia W (2.90)

After dreadful losses to Spain and England, these two superb teams are definitely going through pain and sorrow but could heal at least a tad bit of those wounds in case of victory on Saturday.

When it comes to Scandinavians, they took on Spain for a spot in the final. The Spaniards found the back of the net in the 81st minute through Salma Paralluelo, before Rebecka Blomqvist scored the equaliser for Sweden seven minutes later. However, in the climactic finish, Spain netted the matchwinner in the final seconds of regular time through Olga Carmona.

On the other end, Australia will look to pick up their first-ever medal at a World Cup in Brisbane following an excruciating defeat to mighty England.

Talking about the game, coach Tony Gustavsson assured their fans he'll "make sure they have the strongest line-up they can have, but also the strongest finishing line-up."

"I'm going to plan what I think is best for the team in this one game and not look at it as a bigger picture than that.

"We have gone with a strategy where we think relationships and continuity in tournaments are key. It's just a strategy we believe in, " concluded he.
