The young Shark harbours dreams of scaling to European football in future

Budding Kariobangi Sharks midfielder Fortune Omoto believes that luck will be on his side for the years he will be contracted to the club with a view to use the FKF Premier League podium as springboard to the European market.

The attacking midfielder signed a four-year long deal with the former Cup holders before the season began and he feels that the Sharks platform will propel him to go abroad.

Omoto who was captured from the relegated National Super League side Nairobi Stima has already made his top flight bow despite the massive competition in his preferred area of operation at the club. He was named the man of the match in their one all draw against Wazito in match where he found the back of the net to cancel Elli Asieche's goal.

"I hope that everything will go according to script for the years I will be attached to the club. It is my dream to exit Sharks for an European club. I am enjoying top flight football and the opportunity to wear the Sharks shirt which I want to represent with pride, " he said.

Omoto, a product of the Kariobangi Youth also revealed his ambition of upgrading to the Harambee Stars team having played for the national U20 team, Rising Stars in 2019.

The youngster was part of the Kenyan team that reached the semi finals of the regional tournament held in Arusha Tanzania and was on target against Sudan.

"It is my wish to play in the senior team in the near future. I have had a test with the Rising Stars team and I am certain with hard work I will make it," he said.

Meanwhile, the midfielder revealed that he was closely following the footsteps of Patillah Omoto whom he described as a kindhearted and a leader.

" He is a senior player who is always there for the young ones and the team. He never shies from guiding me and I am lucky to be sharing the dressing room with him," he added.
