OM(G): Ten-man Marseille struck trice against Lyon for a sudden-death in injury time

It doesn't get crazier than that! The Ligue 1 classic between Olympique Lyon and their namesake from Marseille on Sunday night turned into a sensational drama as the ten-man visitors managed to grab a late 2-3 win with not one but two goals in the stoppage time.

Marseille defender Leonardo Balerdi was booked inside the first five minutes of the game, and Roberto De Zerbi's side conceded a penalty near the half-time break, but former Arsenal star, Alexandre Lacazzette, missed from the spot.

Still, Lyon scored the opener at the start of the second half through Duje Caleta-Car. However, it was just the beginning of the late drama, as OM managed to bounce back and provide us with a contender for the game of the season.

Pol Lirola equalized in the 69th minute, and then assisted Ulisses Garcia 13 minutes later for a total comeback. Alas, it was still far from over...

Ryan Cherky netted in the third minute of the added time for 2-2, before Jonathan Rowe stepped up with a brutal riposte two minutes later for the win.

Marseille showed great psychological strength, reached the third victory in a row and tied with Paris Saint-Germain at the top of the table.
