Olunga's fine form persists as other Kenyans post mixed results abroad

Kenyan stars abroad posted mixed results on Saturday evening in various league across the globe.
Kenyan international Michael Olunga extended his red hot goal-scoring streak after notching a brace in Al Duhail’s 2-2 draw against Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League.

The former Gor Mahia forward is back to his devastating best after bagging five goals in two games against Esteghlal.
Olunga had netted a hat-trick in the reverse fixture against the Iranian champions four days ago in the 4-3 win.
Cheick Diabaté broke the deadlock from the spot in the 27th minute with Varya Ghafouri bringing down Olunga in the third minute of the first-half added minutes.

Olunga stepped up to take the penalty and held his nerve to send the goalkeeper the wrong way and doubled his tally in the 58th minute as Duhail took the lead for the first time in the game.
Duhail’s lead however lasted only three minutes as Mehdi Ghaedi restored parity for Esteghlal as they settled for a point.
Jonah Ayunga
Kenyan forward Jonah Ayunga suffered the pain of relegation with Bristol Rovers following the 1-0 loss to Portsmouth in the English League One.
The Brighton and Hove Albion academy graduate missed the matchday squad as Ronan Curtis scored the lone goal of the match to compound Rovers to relegation.

Philipp Mwene
Kenyan defender Philipp Mwene started for Mainz in the historic 2-1 win over reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
Jonathan Burkardt opened just needed three minutes to open the scoring for Mainz with Robin Quaison extending their lead in the 37th minute.
Robert Lewandowski bagged a 92nd-minute consolation goal with the win earning Mainz some breathing space in the relegation battle.

Amos Nondi
Former Gor Mahia midfielder Amos Nondi clocked 90 minutes for Dila Gori as they settled for a 1-1 draw against Shukura in the Georgian National League.
Mikheil Sardalishvili bagged a goal in the 57th minute for Shukura but Revaz Chiteishvili ensured Gori settled for a point.
Alwyn Tera
Kenyan midfielder Alwyn Tera lasted 87 minutes for Saburtalo as they beat Lokomotivi Tbilisi 0-1 in the Georgian National League.
Iuri Tabatadze scored the only goal of the game as Saburtalo registered their third successive away win.
