Olunga shines in Asia despite Duhail's embarrassing defeat to Al Hilal

The former Gor Mahia forward scored six goals in the competition, four in the group stages and two in the quarters

Al Duhail might have been dumped out of the AFC Champions League in a rather humiliating manner after falling by seven goals to nothing against Al Hilal, but Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga was among the best performers in the quarters and semis according to information by the organizers.

Odion Ighalo scored four goals while Mali's Moussa Marega grabbed two with Salem Al-Dawsari, scoring the other goal for Al-Hilal to make it seven and book Urawa Red Diamonds in the final.

The Kenyan was among the top five players from the matches in the quarters and semis with a score of 7.3 out of 10 thanks to his two goals in the semis.

As it would have been expected, form Manchester United striker tops the list with a score of 9.4 following his heroics in the semis against Duhail where he scored four goals but he had the least number of passes among the five players with only 25.

Moussa Marega, Abdullah Al Muaiouf, and Salem Al Dawsari followed in that order in the second, third, and fourth spots with scores of 8.6. 8.1, and 7.5 respectively.

The former Porto player scored thrice in the two games and set up one other and had 35 passes to his name.

Al Dawsari was a monster in midfield for Al Hilal, completing 98 passes, scoring once, and assisting in two instances while Muaiouf had one assist to his name.

Of the five players, only Al Dawsari and Muaiouf had more passes than Olunga who had 37 on top of the two goals.
