Manager Roy Hodgson may soon lose the France U21 international

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson says the club lacks information regarding Michael Olise's forthcoming plans, as he continues to draw attention from Chelsea and Manchester City. The talented Frenchman, who had prior stints in the academies of both clubs, is gaining interest following his remarkable performances over two seasons in South London.

Olise earned recognition as his club's Player of the Year in the previous season, having netted two goals and contributed with 11 assists. His contract reportedly features a release clause of $45 million.

The Eagles' veteran manager admitted he has no idea what is going on with Olise and where he'll be playing next season.

"No one knows at this moment. If there are clubs desperately or seriously preparing a bid and tempting him then he'll have a decision. I can only wait and see what decision is he going to make. He knows we are very keen to keep him. You can never be certain that the players you've got, like, want are definitely going to stay - we have a transfer market. I can only hope that market doesn't on this occasion punish us by persuading one of our very important players to move."

Having already lost Wilfried Zaha recently, Hodgson would hate to lose another talented player. Sadly, it's all out of his control.

"We have a fight on our hands to make sure he stays with us. We had two outstanding wingers who were almost the best in the league – Michael Olise on the right side and Wilf on the left. We don't have Wilf anymore. Clubs are circling around Olise."
